This CD is awsome and I demand every one out there to get it or else my friend edgar will go over your house and bone you. This has got me through many a shitty day, thanks agent. If you feel shitty, depressed and fed up but also want to listen to some amazing music to help you throught the crappy times but not resort to slow sappy songs then this is for you. If you like the old school sound then buy this album! No doubt the best Agent orange record ever made. From the 1981 album of the same name, originally released by the punk-as-fuck Posh. good old-school fukkin punk/surf punk as some like to call them, but i actually dont see that much surf on this album. THE INSPIRATION BEHIND Agent Oranges Living in Darkness. The instrumentals on here sound great, especially their version of Dick Dales Miserlou. If you like early 80's So-Cal punk rock then Angent Orange's Living In Darkness is defiantly for you.Īgent orange rocks. The combination of surf rock and punk works really well on this album. You got all the classic songs like Bloodstains, Last Goodbye, Everything Turns Grey, No Such Thing, Cry For Help In A World Gone Mad, Living In Darkness, Breakdown, and El Dorado. I know some like to describe this as surf punk but that's probably because they have some interesting instrumentals on here that have a slight surf sound to them. Arguably this is Agent Orange's best album it has just a raw and gritty sound. Barnes & Noble® has the best selection of Alternative Alternative Pop/Rock CDs. This is a good old slab of classic early 80's California punk rock, there's no better way to put it. awesome lyrics, awesome music, awesome voice. By incorporating all three musical elements into one, this influential Orange County, California band showed that they were a step ahead of the rest of the punk/hardcore pack. This album is way better than This is The Voice. After listening to Rhino Records' reissue of Agent Orange 's classic 1981 debut Living in Darkness, that's probably what the listener will be wondering. Living in Darkness and Miserlou are the best songs on this album.
Since I bought it I have listened to it at least once a day. But a hurricane of force, angst, and raw energy was about to take the world by storm. Bands find sounds and refine them to a point of perfection. Living in Darkness is the debut studio album by American punk rock band Agent Orange, released in 1981 on Posh Boy Records. This album refuses to get old, It doesnt matter what mood i'm in. Music has engulfed culture as a whole, songs are no longer short forms of entertainment, albums have become highly curated works of art. Good album, I still prefer The Adolescents than Agent Orange, the Adolescents are the real kings of OC, but im not trying to down Agent Orange, they are a good album, but not the greatest to come out of OC.
